I blow away the dust, peek through a hole in the wooden floor, and whisper my thoughts towards her layer:
‘But Roelofs, I know that person doesn’t want to save you.’
Sometimes I wonder if there are two you and me’s. The one we so long for and the one we can’t see.
I'm not even a person or name anymore. I'm turned into an adjective, performing as a noun. As far as identifying the noun is possible in this sentence, I can say it's something with a hole.
I look down, and see red.
I hear screaming, and you're dead.
I thought the world had gone mad.
I look down, and see red.
There will be an evening
that never turns into day
when the sun stops shining
and all lights fade away
I am infinite and ending. I am nothing and everything.
Once, a young girl was playing in the woods. Her dress was white, her hair wild, knees dirty, like any other child.
