A poetic short film by Pie that was ten years in the making and is the result of an ARG she was dragged into without her informed consent.

This work mixes documentary video diaries, poetry and Ridiculism, and responds to Exurb1a’s videos Dear Nia, Losing You, Maybe I Am the Alien, as well as BulletBarry’s‘Exurb1a’s Experiment A’ documentary series on YouTube.

Ridiculism is the idea that some things become more ridiculous the deeper you understand them.

Losing You to Bullshit is a work of ridiculism. Without holding your hand, it references The Dark Side of Justice diary series Pie wrote since 2016, videos from three different creators, public narratives and layered metaphors that transform through time. Once the full context clicks into place after tracing the sources, the absurdity does not disappear. It intensifies. The tragedy becomes clearer. So does the ridiculousness. Confused? Good. You will only get more confused. That’s the point of the artwork.

Find the pattern through a ten-year maze leading into the free diary series The Dark Side of Justice: a chaotic collection of diary entries, poetry, prose, experiences and receipts that together challenge linear narrative, time and perhaps even the idea of a single coherent reality.
